Jasyn Fowler, Founder and Designer, Lumiere

As an Alabama native with a long southern heritage, Jasyn was born with the desire for all things to be beautiful, to create beauty and light. This is the heart of Lumiere. Each person, each event, each costume should be the light of that specific moment in time. 

Jasyn is a graduate of the University of Montevallo where the cobblestone streets and white columns enhanced his imagination, recalling a time gone by in a much changing world. At Montevallo, he searched for ways to make those two things coexist:  The beauty of the past blended with modern design. Through his studies, Jasyn learned the skills to start a 32-year career in the retail sector as a visual designer and merchandiser. He also developed skills in apparel construction and costume design. 

Jasyn’s passion for event design and decor stemmed from making department stores speak to people. To him, even the often-mundane task of shopping should be filled with light, joy, and wonder. The site of shoppers marveling at a store decked out in holiday décor always brought a smile to his heart.

With years of training and teaching, Jasyn knew it was time to bring that sense of nostalgia and celebration to people’s homes, hearts, and lives. From this, Lumiere came to light.
